My name is Danny and I am a full time shift worker, married with a 2 and 4 year old. I’m going through a bit of a period at the moment where I’m not sure if my current career is my dream career as I thought it would be growing up. I have decided to study again to gain a qualification that at best will be able to aid me in a change of career or at worst enable me to be more financially minded and set my family up for the future.

For the past year or so I have been reading books on building wealth and creating extra money such as Rich Dad Poor Dad, Unshakeable, Think and Grow Rich and others. These books are what have provided me with the initial motivation to really look to the future and see what can be, rather than just coast by and as Robert Kiyosaki says, live in the rat race.

My financial goal is to build a passive income that can look after my expenses and eventually also reduce the time I need to spend at work. I love spending time with my family and the more time I have for that the better.
